St Mary’s Cathedral is a Sydney landmark and a beacon of hope for those who share the Catholic faith. It is a source of inspiration and the spiritual home of Sydney’s Catholic community.

The Cathedral Church and Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Mother of God, Help of Christians to give St Mary’s its full title is the Cathedral church of the Archdiocese of Sydney and the seat of the Archbishop of Sydney, Anthony Fisher OP.

The Cathedral is a welcoming destination for church goers and also attracts thousands of tourists to the church precinct that overlooks the Sydney Central Business District and opposite the equally iconic Hyde Park
