Friends of St Mary’s Cathedral Talk – The windows of the Cathedral with Fr Don Richardson

Friends of St Mary’s Cathedral are honoured to host the Dean of St Mary’s Cathedral, Fr Don Richardson, for a speaker event, on Thursday 18th October 2018. Fr Don will be talking about the stained-glass windows in the Cathedral. The windows of St Mary’s Cathedral are particularly fine, and the great amount of detail depicted within them can easily be missed by the casual observer. The Friends are very fortunate that Fr Don has made a study of the windows, and he has kindly agreed to share some of his knowledge with those attending.
The talk will be held at 6.30pm (after Vespers and Mass) on Thursday 18th October 2018 in the Cathedral, and will involve walking around the building. Please meet inside the eastern doors (next to the Chapel of the Irish Saints). The tour of the windows will take about an hour, and will be followed by wine and cheese. Tickets are $10 for members ($15 for non-members).
